Netscape Communicator v4 (PC) - Account Setup
If you're having difficulty setting up your email account with Communnicator version 4, follow these instructions:
Select Edit...Preferences
This will open the following window:
Click on Identity and fill in the following information:
| Your name | Put your full name here |
| Email address | Your email address is username@yourdomain.com |
Now click on the Mail Servers category to bring up this window:
Fill in the following information:
| Outgoing mail (SMTP) server | Your SMTP server is yourisp.com. (Get this information from your ISP.) |
| Outgoing mail server user name | Your POP3 Account ID is username%yourdomain.com |
Click on the Add button to bring up the following dialog:
Fill in the following information:
| Server Name | Your POP3 server is mail.yourdomain.com |
| Server Type | Your server type is POP3 Server |
| User Name | Your POP3 Account ID is username%yourdomain.com |
Click on OK to return to the previous window.
Fill in the following information:
| Outgoing mail (SMTP) server | Your SMTP server is yourisp.com. (Get this information from your ISP.) |
| Outgoing mail server user name | Your POP3 Account ID is username%yourdomain.com |
Click on OK to save these settings. You can now send and receive email with your MacServe.net account.
