Email Client Configuration
Netscape Communicator v4 (Mac) - Account Setup
If you're having difficulty setting up Netscape Communicator version 4 (Mac) for use with your MacServe.net email account, follow these instructions.
Open Preferences...Mail and Newsgroups. This will present the following window:
Click on Identity and enter your name as you'd like it to appear in emails (e.g. Joe Smith).
Your email address is username@yourdomain.com
Now select Mail Servers:
Click on the Add button in the upper right hand corner of the window. This will open the following window:
| Server Name | Your POP3 Server is mail.yourdomain.com |
| User Name | Your POP3 Account ID is username%yourdomain.com |
Click on OK to save these settings and return to the Mail Servers window:
Fill in the following information:
| Outgoing mail (SMTP) server | Your SMTP server is yourisp.com. (Get this information from your ISP.) |
| Outgoing mail server user name | Your POP3 Account ID is username%yourdomain.com |
When done entering this information, click on OK. You can now send and receive mail through your MacServe.net Technologies email acount.
